Bacon Wrapped Green Beans

Bacon Wrapped Green Beans are a great way to add veggies to a tailgate or football watch party. This is really easy and you can make ahead or grill on site along with an entrée.
What you need (for one dozen bundles):
  • Bacon, six slices.
  • Green Beans, 3 to 4 dozen.
  • BBQ Rub (optional - we use Zest Coast Sweet Heat).
  • Brown Sugar - Can skip if using a sweet BBQ rub.
What to do:
Gather ingredients and clean and prep the green beans. Slice bacon slices in half.  I like to use the pre-washed beans that are microwave ready. Thinner bacon works best for this as it stretches a little when wrapping.
Tightly wrap 3 to 4 green beans with each half slice of bacon.
Coat bacon with BBQ Rub and/or Brown Sugar
Cook at 375 to 425 for around 30 minutes. My convection toaster oven (of First Mate's dreams) will cook in less than 15 minutes. I cooked this batch along side cheesy scalloped potatoes in my Big Green Egg. Ig using a grill, be sure that grease does not drip onto heat source. You can use a baking sheet.

When the bacon is done the way you like it, remove from grill/oven and serve hot. You can wrap in foil and reheat these over a grill if tailgating.
